K-pop content made a strong showing on the UK Official Singles Chart’s 2025 year-end rankings, with “Golden” from the animated project K-pop Demon Hunters and “APT.” by Rosé both securing spots in the top 10.

“Golden,” the highest-ranked track from the K-pop Demon Hunters original soundtrack, placed fourth on the year-end chart. In total, five songs from the soundtrack entered the rankings, underscoring the project’s commercial impact as an OST. “Soda Pop” ranked 36th, “Your Idol” 44th, “How It’s Done” 67th, and “What It Sounds Like” 90th.

Rosé’s “APT.,” a collaboration with Bruno Mars, followed closely at No. 5. The track previously won Song of the Year at the MTV Video Music Awards, drawing global attention. Its experimental blend of English and Korean lyrics, blues-inflected tone, and minimalist rhythm has helped set new benchmarks for K-pop female solo artists.

Industry watchers say the twin top-10 finishes highlight the expanding scope of K-pop, which is increasingly finding success beyond traditional idol group releases through solo artists, original soundtracks, and cross-genre collaborations.

Meanwhile, the No. 1 spot on the UK’s 2025 year-end singles chart went to Alex Warren’s “Ordinary,” followed by Lola Young’s “Messy” and Chappell Roan’s “Pink Pony Club.”
