Global K-pop sensation BTS will return as a full group on March 20, marking their first comeback in three years and nine months since the release of their anthology album Proof in June 2022.

The surprise announcement was delivered through handwritten letters sent to fans via the global fan platform Weverse to ring in the New Year. Alongside messages of gratitude, the letters prominently displayed the date “2026.03.20,” signaling the long-awaited return.

Leader RM wrote, “I’ve been waiting more eagerly than anyone,” while Jin thanked fans “for waiting so patiently.” SUGA added, “Let’s enjoy this year together. I love you,” and j-hope said, “What we imagined has finally become reality.”

Jimin wrote, “The year we meet has arrived,” while V told fans to “look forward to even better memories.” Jungkook closed with, “I miss you. Please take good care of us this year as well.”

The New Year letter was a special gift for ARMY members who maintained their membership over the past three years. Fans unable to receive the physical letter will be able to view the same messages on Weverse later this month, allowing BTS to connect with fans worldwide.

BTS also welcomed 2026 together with fans through a full-group Weverse live broadcast on the final night of 2025, during which they exchanged wishes for a successful comeback, saying, “Let’s make it big.”

Along with the March 20 album release, BTS is set to embark on a large-scale world tour. Details on the album and tour schedule will be announced through official channels at a later date.
