“Anpanman,” a track from BTS’ third full-length album released in 2018, has surged to the top of a U.S. Billboard chart seven years and seven months after its debut, underscoring the group’s enduring global power.
According to BIGHIT MUSIC on December 17, “Anpanman” re-entered the Billboard World Digital Song Sales chart at No. 1 earlier this week. It also placed No. 7 on the Digital Song Sales chart during the same tracking period.
The song’s momentum extended across international charts. “Anpanman” recently topped iTunes Top Songs charts in 75 countries, including the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Italy and Mexico. On the UK Official Charts released on December 12, the track ranked No. 12 on Official Singles Downloads and No. 24 on Official Singles Sales.
“Anpanman” draws on the image of the hero Anpanman to reflect BTS’ identity, delivering a message of hope and courage through music and performance.
BIGHIT MUSIC said the renewed attention to an older album track ahead of the group’s planned full-group comeback next spring reflects the collective support of ARMY, the fanbase that has waited for BTS over the years.
Meanwhile, Billboard’s list of the Top 10 Highest-Grossing K-pop Tours of 2025 highlighted strong results from members’ solo tours. j-hope ranked third after drawing more than 500,000 attendees across 33 shows in Asia and North America, while Jin placed seventh with about 300,000 attendees from 18 concerts across Asia, North America and Europe.
