The original soundtrack for Netflix’s K-pop Demon Hunters (“KDH”) has been ranked the world’s No. 2 “Top 10 Album” on Spotify, the world’s largest music-streaming platform.
According to Spotify’s “Spotify Wrapped 2025”, released on the 3rd (local time), the KDH OST outperformed albums by major U.S. pop stars including Taylor Swift, Lady Gaga and Kendrick Lamar to take second place on the global “Top 10 Albums” chart. It also ranked fourth on the U.S. album charts.
The OST’s lead track “Golden” performed strongly as well, placing No. 7 on the global “Top 10 Songs” list and No. 6 among the most-streamed songs in the United States.
The duet track “Apartment,” by BLACKPINK’s Rosé and Bruno Mars, climbed even higher, reaching No. 3 on the global “Top 10 Songs” list.
Puerto Rican artist Bad Bunny claimed the year’s top album globally with Debe Tirar Más Fotos, while another of his records, Un Verano Sin Ti, also broke into the Top 10 at No. 10. He additionally topped the global “Top 10 Artists” ranking, ahead of Taylor Swift at No. 2.
Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars’ duet “Die With a Smile” was the most-streamed song of the year worldwide. In the U.S. artist rankings, Taylor Swift retained the No. 1 spot, followed by Drake, Morgan Wallen, Kendrick Lamar and Bad Bunny.
Hollywood Reporter noted that while Bad Bunny dominated both the global top artist and top album charts, the strong global performance of the KDH OST was one of this year’s standout surprises.
Spotify holds approximately 31% of the global streaming market and currently has around 713 million users, including 281 million paid subscribers across more than 180 markets worldwide.
