Paul Kim joins The Last Summer OST

Singer Paul Kim lends his soulful voice to the original soundtrack of KBS2’s weekend drama The Last Summer, offering a song of gentle comfort and quiet longing.

 

The track, titled “I Wish It Would Rain,” captures the drama’s themes of love, loss, and the desire for rain to wash away unhealed wounds and lingering memories. Paul Kim’s warm yet poignant tone intertwines seamlessly with the emotional journey of the drama’s characters, evoking deep empathy from listeners.

 

The OST was produced by music director Song Dong-woon, known for crafting some of Korea’s most beloved drama soundtracks, including Hotel Del Luna, It’s Okay, That’s Love, Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo, and Our Blues. Song also produced iconic hits such as “I Will Go to You Like the First Snow” (Guardian: The Lonely and Great God), “Stay With Me,” and “Beautiful.”

 

The Last Summer follows the story of long-time friends whose hidden feelings and past secrets resurface during a house renovation project, leading to a rediscovery of first love. The drama airs every Saturday and Sunday at 9:20 p.m. on KBS2.

 

Paul Kim’s “I Wish It Would Rain” was released at 6 p.m. on November 9.
