Park Jin-young has teamed up with singer-songwriter Kwon Jin-ah to deliver a warm “after-work healing song” for weary office workers.
The JYP Entertainment founder released his new single Happy Hour at 6 p.m. on November 5, marking his first comeback in about a year since Easy Lover. The title track, also called Happy Hour (After Work), is a self-written and self-composed ballad in Park’s signature emotional style.
Blending country-pop rhythms with Park’s comforting lyrics and Kwon Jin-ah’s delicate vocals, the duet creates a soothing synergy designed to ease the fatigue of daily life.
The song portrays the small joys of plugging in earphones after a long day and finding quiet happiness on the way home. “I wanted to send comfort and encouragement to everyone living through intense, demanding days,” Park said.
To celebrate the release, Park Jin-young will hold a solo concert titled Happy Hour at Kyung Hee University’s Peace Hall in Seoul on December 13–14.
