NCT’s Doyoung and Jungwoo to begin military service in December

Members of NCT, Doyoung and Jungwoo, will both begin their mandatory military service in December, their agency SM Entertainment announced on October 30.

 

According to SM, “Doyoung will enter a training camp on December 8 to receive basic military training before serving as an active-duty soldier in the Army. Jungwoo will enlist on the same day and fulfill his duty as part of the military band after completing basic training.”

 

The company added that there will be no official event on the day of enlistment. “As the training center is a shared space for many soldiers and their families, we kindly ask fans to refrain from visiting for safety reasons,” SM said.

 

Doyoung debuted with NCT in 2016, while Jungwoo joined the group in 2018. The two have also performed together as part of the subunit NCT DOJAEJUNG, known for its refined vocal harmony and polished musical style.
