The Netflix animated film “K-pop Demon Hunters” continues its chart momentum, with its original soundtrack scoring eight simultaneous entries on the Billboard Hot 100 for a 12th consecutive week, according to Billboard data for the week of September 30 (local date).
Huntrix leads the pack. The group’s flagship single “Golden” held No. 1 for a sixth straight week and seventh time overall. Rival act Saja Boys placed “Your Idol” at No. 3 and “Soda Pop” at No. 5, while Huntrix’s “How It’s Done” ranked No. 13.
Other OST cuts remained in the upper tiers despite slippage: “What It Sounds Like” at No. 21, “Takedown” at No. 29, and “Free”—a collaboration between Huntrix’s Rumi and Saja Boys’ Jinwoo—at No. 30.
A special version of “Takedown” sung by TWICE’s Jeongyeon, Jihyo and Chaeyoung debuted at No. 68, underscoring the global pull of K-pop artists. The “K-pop Demon Hunters” soundtrack album held No. 2 on the Billboard 200, two weeks after hitting No. 1, marking nine weeks in the top tier.
“Golden” also stayed atop both the Billboard Global 200 and Global (Excl. U.S.) charts, reaffirming its worldwide appeal. TWICE’s 14th mini-album title track “STRATEGY,” which also appears in the film, placed at No. 69 this week, extending its Hot 100 run to 10 weeks.
