At 1:26 a.m. on September 8, the group revealed a teaser image on its official social media channels showing the phrase “DECEMBER 2025” over a cosmic backdrop of a lunar eclipse. The image was accompanied by the message: “WHEN WE BECOME TRUE ONE, A NEW WORLD AWAKENS.”

The teaser hints at the revival of EXO’s unique fictional universe, which has been a hallmark of the group’s identity since debuting in 2012 and sparking a wave of lore-driven K-pop concepts. Fans were quick to connect the cryptic imagery with EXO’s original narrative arc, fueling anticipation for the group’s return.
