An inclusive event will allow both disabled and non-disabled audiences to experience Netflix’s original animated film K-Pop Demon Hunters in a barrier-free format.
The special screening will take place at 4:30 p.m. on August 27 at the Seoul Media Center for Viewers (Seoul Seongbuk Media Culture Maru) in the Dream Light Theater on the 4th floor.
Around 300 participants are expected to attend, with the film shown in a version equipped with subtitles for the hearing impaired and audio descriptions for the visually impaired. A Netflix representative will introduce the importance of barrier-free services and explain the technologies used, followed by a Q&A session on the production and experience of accessible content.
Lee Hong-ryeol, head of the Seoul Media Center for Viewers, said, “There should be no gaps in access to information. Bridging this divide is one of our most important roles. This event will be a valuable opportunity to understand how people with disabilities engage with media through globally loved content.”
The barrier-free experience event is open to all with advance registration. Details are available on the Seoul Media Center for Viewers website.
