Netflix’s animated film K-pop Demon Hunters has proven its global impact by placing three songs from its soundtrack in the top 10 of the U.S. Billboard Hot 100.
According to Billboard’s preview article released on August 18 (local time), the OST track Golden ranked No. 2, Your Idol at No. 4, and Soda Pop at No. 10. With this, K-pop Demon Hunters joins the ranks of iconic films like Waiting to Exhale and Saturday Night Fever that achieved the rare feat of landing three soundtrack songs in the Hot 100’s top 10 simultaneously.
Golden, performed by the in-film girl group Huntrix, slipped one spot from last week’s No. 1 but remained strong at No. 2. It recorded 32.8 million streams, up 4 percent from the previous week, along with 11.6 million radio impressions and 7,000 sales.
Tracks performed by the in-film boy group Lion Boys also climbed the charts. Your Idol jumped four places to No. 4 with 20.3 million streams, while Soda Pop entered the chart’s top 10 for the first time, landing at No. 10 with 17.6 million streams.
The OST continues to demonstrate staying power with multiple songs receiving simultaneous spotlight and strong performance across different metrics, creating an exceptional case of soundtrack-driven chart success.
The Billboard Hot 100 ranks songs based on a combination of U.S. streaming figures, radio airplay, and digital sales.
