As One member Lee Min dies at 47; cause under investigation

Lee Min, a member of the South Korean R&B duo As One, has died at the age of 47. According to music industry sources, she was found dead at her home on the afternoon of August 5.

Police have launched an investigation into the cause of death, which remains undetermined as of August 6. A representative from her agency, Brand New Music, confirmed the news, stating, “It is true that Lee Min has passed away, but the circumstances are still under investigation.”

Born in 1978 and of Korean-American descent, Lee Min debuted with As One in 1999 through their first album Day By Day. The duo gained popularity with their refined pop-influenced vocals and soft harmonies, producing a string of hits including “You Don’t Know,” “Day By Day,” and “Want and Resent.”

As One had remained active in recent years, releasing a new single titled “Happy Birthday to You” in June. Lee Min had been residing in South Korea, while her bandmate Crystal, who currently lives in the United States, is reported to be flying to Korea upon hearing the news.
