Incheon Metropolitan City has announced that the annual Incheon Film Week 2025 will take place from October 17 to 23, with this year’s theme set as “Travel.” The city also unveiled its official poster for the event on August 6.
Organized by the Incheon Film Commission and hosted by the city government, Incheon Film Week is a regional film festival celebrating cinema through screenings and interactive programs across Incheon.
The main segment of this year’s event will run from October 17 to 19 at CGV Incheon Yeonsu, showcasing travel-themed films with free admission.
From October 20 to 23, the program titled SEE YOU IN CINEMA: Let’s Meet at the Theater will expand to four participating local cinemas—Daehan Theater in Bupyeong, Aegwan Theater, Cinema Space Juan, and Incheon Mirim Theater—aiming to enhance accessibility for local audiences.
The official poster, designed by the studio GreenGrim, visualizes this year’s slogan “Depart, Stay, Encounter” by depicting a traveler's window view styled like a movie screen. “We wanted to capture the moment when scenes outside daily life feel cinematic,” the studio explained.
Ahead of the event, a citizen-led pre-festival vote titled “Incheon’s Favorite Travel Films” will be held from August 8 to 22 on the official Incheon Film Week website. The winning selections will be featured during the festival’s screenings.
Programmer Kim Kyung-tae noted, “This year’s festival aims to offer citizens a chance to reimagine their everyday lives and urban surroundings through film. More details about the event will be shared through the official website.”
