Cha Eun-woo enlists in military service today

Cha Eun-woo, member of K-pop group ASTRO and actor, began his mandatory military service on July 28, enlisting as an active-duty soldier in the Army's military band.

His agency Fantagio confirmed that Cha entered a training center on Monday and will serve in the military band after completing basic training.

The day before his enlistment, Cha shared a live YouTube broadcast with fans, revealing his new buzz cut and reflecting on the moment. “It’s amazing that this day has come for me too. This is the shortest my hair has been since I was about two or three years old,” he said. “I’ll stay healthy and do well. I hope good fortune comes your way in everything you do.”

Cha debuted with ASTRO in 2016, releasing hit tracks like “Breathless” and “Confession.” He has also built a solid acting career through dramas such as My ID is Gangnam Beauty and Wonderful World.
