Fantasy action blockbuster Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint has claimed the top spot at the daily box office for the second consecutive day, signaling a strong debut ahead of its first weekend in theaters.

According to the Korean Film Council’s integrated ticketing network on July 25, the film attracted 73,077 moviegoers the previous day, pushing its cumulative total to 200,508 since opening on July 23.

Based on the popular web novel and webtoon of the same name, the film follows a story in which the fictional world of a decade-long serialized novel becomes reality. The 30 billion won (approx. $22 million) production features a star-studded cast including Ahn Hyo-seop, Lee Min-ho, Chae Soo-bin, Shin Seung-ho, Nana, and BLACKPINK’s Jisoo. It was directed by Kim Byung-woo, known for The Terror Live and PMC: The Bunker.

Marvel’s Fantastic Four: A New Beginning came in second with 72,695 admissions. Brad Pitt’s racing blockbuster F1: The Movie and Korean animated hit King of Kings — the top-grossing Korean animation in U.S. box office history — followed with 34,643 and 24,038 viewers, respectively.

As of Friday morning, Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint led advance ticket sales with an 18.2% reservation rate. My Daughter is a Zombie, starring Jo Jung-suk and set to premiere on July 30, ranked second with 17.3%.
