TWICE has once again proven its global popularity, debuting at No. 6 on the U.S. Billboard 200 with its fourth full-length album THIS IS FOR.
According to Billboard on July 20 (local time), THIS IS FOR, released on July 11, earned 80,000 units in its first week, placing sixth on the Billboard 200—one of the most competitive charts in the world.
The album includes the unit track “TAKEDOWN” by members Jeongyeon, Jihyo, and Chaeyoung, as well as the lead single “Strategy” from their 14th mini-album. Both songs gained extra attention for being featured in the Netflix animated film K-Pop Demon Hunters, which itself debuted at No. 5 on the same chart.
With this achievement, TWICE has now placed seven consecutive albums in the Billboard 200 Top 10, extending their record for the most entries by any K-pop girl group.
THIS IS FOR showcases a diverse range of genres and a creative unit lineup, expanding the group's musical style. Top U.S. producers, including those behind hits for Ariana Grande and Sabrina Carpenter, contributed to the album, earning it praise for its quality and polish.
TWICE kicked off their sixth world tour THIS IS FOR at Inspire Arena in Incheon on July 19–20. The tour will continue through December, with stops in major cities across Asia and Australia, including Osaka, Aichi, Tokyo, Macau, and Bangkok.
