BLACKPINK has once again demonstrated their global power, dominating major international charts with their latest track “JUMP.”
According to YG Entertainment on July 14, BLACKPINK’s new song “JUMP” topped Spotify’s Daily Top Songs Global chart, the world’s largest music streaming platform. This marks their third No. 1 after “Pink Venom” and “Shut Down” in 2022 — making BLACKPINK the first and only K-pop group to achieve this feat three times.
“JUMP” is a hardstyle track infused with a Western movie-style guitar riff layered with each member’s distinctive vocals. Since its release on July 11, the song has garnered over 13.09 million streams in just two days, earning enthusiastic response from the global pop market including the U.S. and U.K. It also topped iTunes’ Top Songs chart in 60 countries.
BLACKPINK’s world tour is also enjoying massive success. On July 12 and 13, the group performed two sold-out shows at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, drawing a total of 100,000 fans. According to YG, they are the first girl group in the world to sell out the venue for two consecutive nights.
The July 12 show featured group hits and solo performances from each member. On July 13, pop star Bruno Mars made a surprise appearance, joining Rosé on stage for a duet of “APT.”
Following Los Angeles, BLACKPINK will continue their stadium tour across major global cities including Chicago, Toronto, New York, Milan, Barcelona, London, Kaohsiung, Bangkok, and Tokyo.
