There have been rumors about Nicole's mother is personally looking for a new agency for her daughter. However, Nicole denied rumors.

On January 22, a Japanese media outlet reported, "KARA's former member Nicole is transferring to T-ara's agency, Core Contents Media. Nicole's mother personally visited Core Contents Media for her daughter to transfer to."

However, Nicole posted a message on her SNS, "I came to think that I need time to recharge. So I'm setting a plan for not so long and leaving for training," signaling she is leaving to study abroad.

Nicole said, "I want to think carefully about choosing an agency so I'm not in a hurry. So if I make a decision, you will be the first to know about it."
