“The Attorney” starring Song Kang-ho hits 6 million at the theaters

The movie "The Attorney" starring Song Kang-ho surpassed 6 million viewers.

On January 1, NEW, the distributing company for the movie, said, "On the first day of the new year, "The Attorney" surpassed 6 million viewers."

According to Korean Film Council (KOFIC), the movie attracted 46,5416 viewers on December 31, reaching 5.68 million viewers in total. "The Attorney" attracted nearly 30,000 viewers per day and 1 million viewers in the weekends, assuring the accumulated to hit 6 million viewers.

Meanwhile, "The Attorney" is a movie about a poor tax lawyer named Song Woo-seok (Song Kang-ho) who becomes a civil rights lawyer. The movie attracted attention even before its premiere as the main character is loosely based on the late President Roh Moo-hyun.
