On the December 7th episode of MBC's 'Infinity Challenge', Leessang's Gil talked about his hard childhood.

During the discussion with high school seniors about the conflict with their parents, Gill shared a story of his family hardships.

Gil said, "I don't understand why people don't get on well with their parents. You won't understand how nice it is having parents who can say those things to you."

He said, "My father collapsed when I was in fifth grade. Since then, he couldn't talk, and was bedridden with the mental age of a child. My family of six members was on income support. My mother tried to recover his health, and I did a wide range of jobs to support my family. The only thing I knew about was anger and I even questioned why I was born. Eventually my father passed away After I finished my college entrance exam. As we went in to shroud my father, my mother told him, 'Don't get hurt in heaven. I will stay a bit longer."

"This is when I thought to myself, what could I do? Music was the only thing that made me happy. Although I failed several times in auditions, I never gave up because I remembered the lesson my mother taught me, which was to never give up."

Netizens commented, "I didn't know those things happened to him", "It's very touching", and more.
