IU revealed that she feels weird when someone calls her 'Unni'.

On the November 11th episode of MBC Music's 'Picnic Live Noise', IU held a special concert with 40 female guests, who were also 20 years of age just like her.

During the show, IU read a story sent in by a guest who chose to start her own business rather than going to university.

IU said, "I debuted in 9th grade. A sunbae told me before that kids who become celebrities only grow in one way. When you become a celebrity, only one part will grow quickly while the others don't grow as much. The sunbae told me that I should be careful of that."

She added, "I'm understanding the words more and more. As I only focus on one thing, my social skills aren't developed. I always think I'm still stuck in the 9th grade. When I'm not growing, there are others who do businesses, and that looks like a big deal to me."

She also revealed her thoughts on turning 22 (Korean age) in 2 months, "My ego and my fingers are all set in 16 years old and it's weird when a student in uniform call me 'Unni' and tell me that I'm 21. I have a stylist who came in and it's weird and interesting that someone younger than me is working. It's a good feeling but at the same time, it's a little scary."
