On October 8, Naver announced that it will hold a street festival 'Wall of Hangeul (Korean alphabet)' composed of numerous public participation programs, following the "Beautiful Hangeul" as part of its Hangeul campaign.
This event will be held around the large media wall installed at the square in front of Myeongdong Theater until October 27th.
People can participate in the event by selecting a slang on the media wall and changing it into another word, or taking a photo and sending it to the media wall. Through this event, people will be able to learn the correct use of Hangeul.
Participants can get various presents such as Hangeul notes and balloons.
Kim Woo-jung, Naver's CMD general manager, said, "There are many beautiful Korean words we can use instead of slangs. Through this event, we would like to share the beauty of Hangeul with many citizens."
