On August 7, one of small business operator who attended 'Small Business Naver damage case briefing session' held at the Korea Federation of Small and Medium Business made a presentation of its own damage case against Naver.

Creative Entertainment CEO Kim Dong-Wook made a presentation about its damage from Hangame in 2003. The company offered NHN Entertainment its online basketball game 'Buzzer Beater', however it was thrown out before it became commercially available.

During the 'Small Business Naver damage case briefing session' hosted by Small Business Federation Organizing Committee at the Korea Federation of Small and Medium Business on August 7, many damage cases from NHN Entertainment as well as Naver were reported.

NHN Entertainment is currently operated as a separate entity with the split from parent company Naver on August 1. However, NHN Entertainment cannot escape from being criticized for Naver's anti-social practices. It's because NHN Entertainment's users and sales made a significant contribution until Naver became a dinosaur portal.

CEO Kim said, "At the time we developed the game, the game had the potential to succeed as its site passed 3,000 mark for simultaneous logins. Hangame claimed that it could easily draw 10,000 concurrent users by operating its go-stop and poker game. It delayed its commercialization due to feasibility issues and eventually discarded the game."

Choi Seung-Jae, the chairman of Small Business Federation Organizing Committee, pointed out that NHN Entertainment is also acting high-handedly over PC Bangs (internet cafés; "bang" stands for "room" in Korean) as it focused on web-board games. He said that NHN Entertainment has been selling game money coupons of web-board games to PC bangs.

Im Soon-Hee, head of Incheon branch of Internet PC Bang Cooperative Union, said, "Most companies such as CJ E&M Netmarble, and Neowiz provide such game money coupons for free to PC bangs. However, Hangame is the only company who is selling the coupons."
