Rain is officially discharged from his mandatory military duties

On July 10, superstar Rain, or Jung Ji-Hoon, finished his mandatory military duties as a celebrity soldier and was officially discharged from military.

Rain appeared before the crowd including fans and reporters and said, "Thank you for coming out to see me. I'll continue to do my best. I'm always thankful."

The singer gave his final salute to his fans before leaving with a prepared car. More than 700 fans have waited for Rain's arrival, proving his popularity. Some fans even burst into tears when the singer showed up.

Previously, Rain entered the military in October 2011. Back in January, he came under fire following reports of going on dates with actress Kim Tae-Hee while on duty and was sentenced to confinement for this incident.

Rain will be starting a new page of his career with Cube Entertainment.
