Shinhwa's Lee Minwoo and Girls' Generation (SNSD)'s Hyoyeon and Yuri will be joining Mnet's 'Dancing 9' as dance masters.

On June 17, a rep from Mnet's production team stated "We picked Lee Minwoo, Hyoyeon and Yuri as the K-Pop dance masters of 'Dancing 9' because they played a big role in the popularity of Korean Wave, or Hallyu, mostly through their dancing and singing."

Lee Minwoo said, "I met fans of various countries for 15 years as a member of Shinhwa. I realized that dance really was a genre that overcomes language, age and gender. I really liked the premise of 'Dancing 9' and I was happy to accept the offer to be a master. Before I'm a singer, I'm a man who really loves dance. I'm so excited to meet people who love dance."

Hyoyeon and Yuri added, "We saw how people around the world can become one through dance as we performed across Asia and Europe. We learned how powerful dance can be. We want to share our experiences and know-how in fashion, trend, performances and teamwork with the contestants of 'Dancing 9'. We will work hard to give a practical help to those who want to be stars through dance."

Chief Producer Kim Yong-Bum of 'Dancing 9' said, "The three are the hottest dancers and singers. Lee Minwoo is Shihwa's choreographer and even a talented producer. He is many juniors' wannabe dancer and singer. Also, Girls' Generation is currently leading the global K-Pop fever, making popular with not only its dance and song but its makeup habits and fashion styles. We anticipate the trio's performance on the program as masters, and hope that viewers can look forward to seeing them."
