Ryu Si-Won clarifies allegation of assaulting his wife

Actor Ryu Si-Won clarified on the allegation of assaulting his wife.

On May 22, Ryu Si-Won made an official announcement through his management agency R's Company saying, "I'm very surprised and perplexed. Besides, I can't even express how falsely I'm being accused. In any case, I would never physically abuse her and these accusations are absolutely not true."

He continued, "I will actively respond to such unreasonable legal charges to reveal the truth until the end and to keep my honor."

He added, "So far I thought it was unnecessary but for the sake of my daughter, myself and people around me, I will get to the truth."

Meanwhile, on the same day, the Seoul Supreme Prosecutor's Office has indicted Ryu Si Won on charges of secretly putting GPS tracking device on his wife's car and slapping her face and threatening her after she asked him to detach the device from her car.

The two got married in 2010 and filed for divorce in March 2012.
