Actor Kim Soo-Hyun will hold his first official fan meeting in Japan.

On May 7, Kim Soo-Hyun's management agency Key East announced, "Kim Soo-Hyun will hold a large scale fan meeting on June 30 at the Shibuya Public Hall to celebrate the launch of his official fan club in Japan."

Although he has visited the country as part of a promotional event for his past dramas, this will be his first solo fan meeting event. At the fan meeting, highlights and behind-the-scenes videos from his dramas and films will be released.

A rep from Kim's Japanese agency said, "Kim Soo-Hyun was chosen as the most popular Hallyu actor in Japan. Currently, his drama 'Moon that Embraces the Sun', which is airing on Japan's NHK channel, is receiving a lot of attention. As his film 'The Thieves' will premiere in Japan in June, we anticipate that Japanese public's interest in Kim Soo-Hyun to become even hotter."

The actor plans to reach out to more international fans starting with this event.

Meanwhile, Kim Soo-Hyun's upcoming film 'Secretly and Greatly' ('Covertness') will premiere on June 5 in Korea.
