T-ara N4 causes the Rising Sun Flag controversy with ‘Countryside Life’ video

T-ara N4 ignited a firestorm of controversy with their music video, 'Countryside Life'.

Recently, T-ara N4's 'Countryside Life' video has caused controversy with a few scenes that resemble the Rising Sun Flag.

The music video shows a dance contest poster, which features red rays that look much like the Japanese Rising Sun Flag. Particularly, the T-ara N4 members dance in front of a big banner that suggests the Rising Sun Flag.

The Rising Sun Flag is one of the Japanese flags which is commonly associated with that country's imperialistic history. Many Koreans take great offense to see the flags that resemble the Rising Sun Flag as it was used during Japanese occupation of Korea.

Netizens responded with comments such as "Can you clarify?", "What's this?", "I ask you to change the image", "T-ara causes stir, again", "Although you used the image for another purpose, it's causing controversy as it reminds the Rising Sun Flag", and more.

T-ara N4 is T-ara's sub-unit group composed of Eunjeong, Hyomin, Jiyeon, and Areum.
