INFINITE‘s Sunggyu becomes the icon of betrayal on ’The Genius‘

Male group INFINITE's member Sunggyu has become the icon of betrayal.

In the first episode of tvN's new variety show 'The Genius: Rules of the Game', which will air on April 26, Sunggyu will throw the entire cast into the chaos with his betrayal.

According to the production team, Sunggyu looked like he was confused in the beginning of the game and he couldn't even understand the game, making the other cast members to lower their guards.

When the other cast members tried to get him to work together, he even said, "What if you betray me?" and made no one be suspicious about him.

However, he revealed his real character in the middle of the game, as he took over the first spot, shocking everyone.

Jung Jong-Yeon, producer of tvN, said, "Sunggyu is a diligent maknae to his seniors while in the waiting room, but during the filming, his image changes completely. He is a great cast member who understands the program concept completely."

'The Genius' is a new reality show where 13 contestants representing various fields of work including TV personalities, gamblers, politicians engage in a psychological warfare to become the last man standing through games.

Apart from Sunggyu, TV personalities Kim Gu-Ra, Lee Sang-Min, Kim Kyung-Ran, Park Eun-Ji, politician Lee Joon-Suk, gambler Cha Min-Soo, actor Choi Chang-Yup, billiard player Cha Yoo-Ram, pro-gamer Hong Jin-Ho, cartoonist Kim Poong, Seoul university student Choi Jung-Moon, auction dealer Kim Min-Seo are those listed as the participants of the program.
