Go Soo to star in drama ‘Empire of Gold’

Actor Go Soo has confirmed to appear in the upcoming SBS' Mon-Tue drama 'Empire of Gold'.

On April 23, Go Soo's management agency BH Entertainment announced, "Go Soo will be coming back to the small screen for the first time in three years since 'Will It Snow for Christmas? in 2010."

The actor will be playing the role of Jang Tae-Joo, a man who lives a war-like life struggling to get to the top from the bottom of the society.

'Empire of Gold' is another political drama that focuses on the power struggle within a chaebol family on the turbulent economic era for about two decades since 1990s. The drama will be a collaboration between screenwriter Park Kyung-Soo and producer Jo Nam-Guk, who previously worked together for the drama 'Chaser'.

Actors including Son Hyun-Joo, Park Geun-Hyoung, and Ryu Seung-Soo will be joining Go Soo. The drama will air in Jang Ok Jung's time slot from July on SBS.
