Go Young-Wook sentenced to 5 years of jail, 10 years of wearing electronic anklet

On April 10, Seoul Western District Court sentenced Go Young-Wook, who was previously charged with engaging in sexual acts with minors and sexual assault, to five years of jail and ten years of wearing electronic anklet.

The justice department stated that the court's decision was due to the fact that Go Young-Wook used similar criminal methods towards similar target group, driving down the possibility that they were accidental, that he was involved in a similar crime while under prosecutor's investigation, and that there was a risk of second conviction.

The justice department decided to make public Go's personal information and ordered to complete a treatment program for sexual offenders for 100 hours.

Go Young-Wook became the first celebrity ordered to wear an electronic anklet, which will monitor his locations and moving path 24 hours a day via GPS.
