Actors Lee Yeon Hee and Choi Jin Hyuk's fateful meeting took place.
On February 20, MBC's upcoming Mon-Tue drama series 'Gu Family Book' released photos from the first filming scene that took place in early February at Jeju Island.
Filming took place in a span of four days, from February 5th to 8th, at Jeju Island. The scene was about Yoon Seo Hwa (Lee Yeon Hee) who went to the mountains to pick herbs, where she meets Gu Wol Ryung (Choi Jin Hyuk) who is the guardian god of mountain.
The production team had been making a thorough search two months ago, to find a dense forest that is located far from human activity to film this scene. After much persuasion, they finally obtained permission to film the scene.
Lee and Choi filmed the scene in the tropical forest and mist setting, showing mysterious clothing and hairstyle. In particular, the two perfectly portrayed characters in the series, raising expectations for the series.
After filming ended, actress Lee Yeon Hee said, "I can't wait to meet the audience through a new character. I believe a love story as beautiful as this beautiful scenery will unfold."
'Gu Family Book' is directed by Shin Woo Chul, who previously directed series including 'A Gentleman's Dignity', 'Secret Garden', 'Lovers in Prague', and 'Lovers in Paris', and is written by Kang Eun Kyung, who previously wrote series including 'Man of Honor' and 'King of Baking, Kim Tak Goo'.
Singer and actor Lee Seung Gi and Miss A's Suzy will be leading the drama. Lee Seung Gi will take the role of Choi Kang Chi, the half man half beast; while Suzy will take on the character of Dam Yeo Wool, who is a master in archery and martial arts. 'Gu Family Book' will take over from 'Horse Doctor' and begin airing this April.
