England football star Harry Kane will remain with German club Bayern Munich until 2029.

Bayern announced on its official website Thursday that it had extended Kane's contract until June 30, 2029.

"Kane, who has scored 156 goals in 161 competitive appearances, was named the world's best player last week after winning the Ballon d'Or," the club said.

While the financial terms of the new contract were not disclosed, sports outlet The Athletic reported that Kane's base salary was the highest not only in Bayern Munich's history but also in European football.

"I feel right at home at FC Bayern. I love the club, the fans and the city of Munich," Kane said on the club's website. "It makes me very proud to be part of this club. I was keen to stay. I'm now looking forward to the future and I want to win many more titles with this great club."

Kane joined Bayern Munich from Tottenham Hotspur of England in the summer of 2023 for a transfer fee of €100 million (approximately 152.4 billion won).

Since then, he has lifted five trophies with Bayern, winning two Bundesliga titles, one DFB-Pokal title and two Franz Beckenbauer Supercups.

Kane has also demonstrated remarkable finishing ability in the Bundesliga, averaging a goal per game with 102 goals in 102 appearances. Across all competitions, he has scored 156 goals in 161 matches since joining Bayern.

He also won the European Golden Shoe, awarded to Europe's leading goalscorer, in the 2023-24 and 2025-26 seasons.

In recognition of his outstanding performances, Kane won the Ballon d'Or for the first time in his career on Oct. 27, becoming the first English player to receive the award in 25 years.
