Hyosung GoodSprings is seeking to expand its market presence with high-efficiency pump technology designed to reduce power consumption and improve operational stability at AI data centers. The company aims to develop its data center business into a new growth engine by supplying products covering not only cooling systems but also water supply, firefighting and drainage.

On Nov. 3, Hyosung GoodSprings, a pump manufacturing subsidiary of Hyosung Group, announced that it would participate in Data Center Korea 2026, scheduled to take place in Yangjae-dong, Seoul, from Nov. 4 to 6.

The centerpiece of the exhibition will be its sensorless inline pump for data center cooling. The pump is designed to reduce energy losses and improve cooling efficiency through an integrated inverter design and sensorless control technology.

In particular, the company has added a harmonic distortion monitoring function this year in response to customer needs. Harmonic distortion is an indicator of how much voltage or current waveforms are distorted by factors such as power conversion equipment. Changes in this indicator can help identify power quality issues or signs of equipment malfunction.

Previously, checking harmonic distortion required separate measuring equipment, but the new product allows users to monitor it in real time through a display built into the pump. This is intended to make equipment inspections more convenient and enable faster responses to signs of abnormalities.

Hyosung GoodSprings will also showcase equipment for data center operations beyond cooling. The company will display its high-efficiency IE5 booster pump, fire pump package and dry-type wastewater and drainage package. It plans to meet the equipment needs of individual customers by supplying a range of pumps required for data center operations.

"As the AI industry grows and data centers emerge as key infrastructure for future industries, pump solutions that support stable operations and energy efficiency are becoming increasingly important," said Kim Tae-hyeong, CEO of Hyosung GoodSprings.

"We will further expand our presence in the data center market by strengthening our high-efficiency pump technology and the competitiveness of our products tailored to customer needs."
