World Hydrogen Expo 2026 (WHE 2026), an event showcasing the latest technologies, policies and investment trends in the global hydrogen industry, will open on Nov. 4.

According to the WHE Organizing Committee on Nov. 2, the event will take place over three days from Nov. 4 to 6 at KINTEX Exhibition Center 2 in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province. This year's event will be held in conjunction with the fifth Hydrogen Day, a legally designated commemorative day, with 197 companies from 12 countries participating. Approximately 30,000 visitors are expected, including government and international organization officials from Korea and abroad, hydrogen companies, and experts from industry, academia and research institutions.

Under the slogan "Hydrogen Moves to Market: Making Bankable Projects Work," this year's event focuses on connecting technological development and policy discussions in the hydrogen industry with actual investment and commercialization.

The exhibition will showcase technologies and solutions across the hydrogen industry, from production to storage, transportation and utilization. Major Korean companies, including Hyundai Motor Group, Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power, Kolon Industries, Bumhan Fuel Cell and KOHYGEN, as well as global companies, will participate.

Hyundai Motor Group will unveil its integrated hydrogen business vision centered on its hydrogen brand HTWO. It plans to showcase megawatt (MW)-scale proton exchange membrane (PEM) water electrolysis technology, its Waste-to-Hydrogen (W2H) business model, which produces hydrogen through waste recycling, and hydrogen mobility solutions, including hydrogen-powered buses and trucks. The group will also conduct hydrogen refueling robot demonstrations and offer test rides in commercial vehicles.

Kolon Group will introduce key materials and components for the hydrogen industry. Kolon Industries plans to exhibit fuel cell humidifiers and proton exchange membranes, while Kolon Spaceworks will showcase hydrogen storage solutions ranging from carbon fiber materials to hydrogen storage tanks and modules.
