President Lee Jae-myung called on newly appointed Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport Hong Ji-seon on the 29th, saying, "The nation's fate is at stake. Give deep thought to bold supply measures."

During a closed-door Cabinet meeting presided over at the Blue House that day, President Lee made the remarks, stating, "The role of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport is vital. Please put all your efforts into swift supply policies," Blue House Senior Spokesperson Kang Yu-jung said in a written briefing.

In particular, President Lee urged officials to "communicate clearly and in detail to the public the trends of change following the recent increase in groundbreaking and move-in volumes across the capital area."

He continued by emphasizing, "Please do your utmost to secure development sites," adding, "Ministers of related agencies must also approach this with a mindset of total dedication to ensure swift supply."

President Lee also said, "Please work diligently, including proactively resolving staff shortage issues at Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH) and the land ministry."
