South Korean Major Leaguers Lee Jung-hoo of the San Francisco Giants and Kim Ha-seong of the Atlanta Braves struggled at the plate, failing to prevent their respective teams from falling to defeat.

Lee went 0-for-5 in a home game against the San Diego Padres at Oracle Park in San Francisco, California, on the 14th (KST), sending his season batting average down to .276 (143 hits in 518 at-bats).

Batting second and starting in right field, Lee grounded out to first base in both the bottom of the first and third innings. In the bottom of the fifth, with runners on second and third and no outs, he failed to drive in a run after popping out to shortstop.

His team, the Giants, lost 4-6, sinking into a three-game losing skid.

On the same day, Kim reached base for a fourth consecutive game in a home contest against the Philadelphia Phillies at Truist Park in Atlanta, Georgia. However, he went 0-for-2 with two walks, causing his season batting average to drop to .128 (14 hits in 109 at-bats).

Starting at shortstop and batting ninth, Kim drew a seven-pitch walk with two outs in the bottom of the second inning against Philadelphia starter Andrew Painter. Atlanta lost the game 4-9.

Meanwhile, Song Sung-mun of the Padres, who faced off against San Francisco, entered the game in the bottom of the eighth as a defensive replacement but did not register a plate appearance.
