Kim Min-jae, a key pillar of the South Korean national team's defense, has visited South Korea alongside his club FC Bayern Munich to play a friendly match against K League 1 side Jeju SK FC.

The Bayern squad arrived via a chartered flight through Jeju International Airport on August 2. A 26-player roster visited South Korea, including Kim Min-jae, goalkeeper Manuel Neuer, Japanese defender Hiroki Ito, midfielder Joshua Kimmich, and forward Luis Díaz.

Players from national teams that advanced past the quarterfinals of the 2026 North & Central America World Cup, such as Harry Kane and Michael Olise, did not participate in this tour. However, around 500 fans gathered at Jeju Airport on this day, proving Bayern's popularity. Neuer and Kim Min-jae greeted fans by signing autographs and posing for photos.

This marks Bayern's second visit to South Korea, coming two years after August 2024. At that time, Bayern played a friendly match against Tottenham Hotspur (England) at the Seoul World Cup Stadium.

During this visit, Bayern will play a friendly against Jeju SK in the Audi Football Summit 2026 at Jeju World Cup Stadium at 8:00 p.m. on August 4. Prior to this, Bayern plans to adapt to the Jeju environment through a closed training session on the evening of this day, and will meet press and fans on-site through a press conference and open training on August 3.
