The Ministry of Education, in partnership with the Childcare Safety Association, is distributing new educational videos designed to help directors and administrators of kindergartens and daycare centers conduct self-safety inspections.

The Ministry of Education and the Childcare Safety Association announced on the 15th that they have produced and are distributing videos covering school vehicle safety and fire safety. Reflecting current laws and the latest safety management standards, the videos were filmed from a first-person perspective to help viewers understand inspection procedures as if they were performing them in real life.

The school vehicle safety series consists of four clips running about 20 minutes in total, covering everything from pre-departure checks to safety rules during and after operation. It also includes a checklist used during joint inspections by local governments. The fire safety series, also in four clips totaling about 30 minutes, provides guidance on fire extinguishing and alarm systems, electricity and gas safety, and evacuation methods while incorporating evaluation indicators for daycare centers. The videos are available on the Childcare Safety Association's safety education system and YouTube, and are being distributed to local education offices and municipal governments.

"We expect these educational videos to be widely used for safety training and voluntary safety inspections at daycare centers and kindergartens, helping to establish a culture of safety management on the ground," said Kang Min-gyu, Director General of the Early Childhood Education and Care Policy Bureau at the Ministry of Education.
