Naver D2SF announced on June 10 that it has invested in AI security startup AIM Intelligence, as demand for AI safety and security technologies continues to grow alongside the wider adoption of generative AI and AI agents.
AIM Intelligence develops AI security technologies that help organizations identify and manage risks associated with AI deployment, including data leakage, prompt injection attacks, and privilege misuse. The company offers both Red Team solutions for proactively testing AI vulnerabilities and Guardrail solutions that monitor and control risky behavior during AI operations.
The startup's team has participated in AI safety projects led by companies such as OpenAI, Anthropic, and Meta, and has published numerous research papers related to AI guardrails.
AIM Intelligence currently serves clients across the financial, public, and corporate sectors. The company plans to expand into the field of physical AI security, focusing on ensuring safety in real-world environments involving technologies such as robots.
The startup was first discovered through Naver D2SF's campus technology entrepreneurship competition last year. According to Naver D2SF, the investment follows an incubation process that began after the company was selected through the program.
Yang Sang-hwan, head of Naver D2SF, said, "AIM Intelligence is a team that combines strong research capabilities with product competitiveness in the AI security and safety sector. We are exploring various opportunities for collaboration aimed at building safe and trustworthy AI systems."
