Hyolyn, former member of K-pop group SISTAR, has been rushed to the hospital following a sudden medical emergency and will no longer participate in a scheduled performance in Taipei, Taiwan.

Her agency, ReH, announced through Hyolyn’s official X account on May 27 that the singer would be unable to attend the G! POP Music Festival hosted by the Fubon Guardians on May 30 in Taipei.

The agency stated that the artist was taken to the hospital due to a sudden emergency situation and that, based on medical advice, hospitalization and rest had become the top priority.

“After comprehensively considering her health condition and safety, she will unfortunately not be able to attend the event,” the statement said.

ReH also apologized to fans in Taiwan who had been waiting for the performance, as well as to the Fubon Guardians organization and related staff involved in preparing the event.

The agency added that Hyolyn had been eagerly looking forward to meeting fans through the performance and was deeply disappointed by the cancellation. It said the singer would focus fully on treatment and recovery.

The company concluded by saying it would prioritize the artist’s recovery and do its best to help her return to fans in good health.
