The People Power Party’s audit committee said Tuesday that it found signs of public opinion manipulation in the so-called “party bulletin board case” involving family members of former party leader Han Dong-hoon, noting that 1,428 posts—87.6 percent of the total—were written from just two IP addresses.

The People Power Party said it convened its eighth audit committee meeting earlier in the day and concluded that the problematic accounts matched the names of five members of Han’s family. The party added that, following media reports, those involved were confirmed to have withdrawn their party memberships and to have deleted a large number of posts.

“Through digital pattern analysis, we confirmed that at least a level of managerial responsibility applies to Han,” the committee said, adding that the findings would be forwarded to the party’s Central Ethics Committee in accordance with party rules.

The audit committee emphasized that the concentration of posts from two IP addresses raised serious concerns about coordinated activity on the party’s online platform.
