Choo Young-woo and Shin Si-ah have been confirmed as the lead actors in the upcoming Korean film Even If This Love Disappears Tonight, distributor By4M Studio announced on July 2.

The film is a remake of the 2021 Japanese hit of the same title, which attracted 1.21 million moviegoers in Korea. It tells the story of a high school girl who loses her memory each time she sleeps and an ordinary boy leading a dull life, whose encounter sparks a touching romance.

Choo Young-woo, rising in popularity through dramas like The Chronicles of Lady Okssi, Severe Trauma Center, and Gyeonwoo and Jiknyeo, will make his silver screen debut as the male lead “Jae-won.” The female lead “Seo-yoon” will be played by Shin Si-ah, acclaimed for her roles in the film The Old Woman With the Knife and the drama Someday, Resident Life is Wise.

The film will be directed by Kim Hye-young, who received the Crystal Bear at the 74th Berlin International Film Festival’s Generation Kplus section in February for her feature debut It’s Okay, It’s Okay, It’s Okay!
