G-Dragon, Kim Jae-joong, Lee Chan-won, Lim Young-woong among contenders for KM Chart’s ‘Best Summer’

KM Chart has unveiled the nominees who led the K-music scene in the second quarter of 2025.

 

On July 1, the K-pop ranking platform announced the launch of the “2025 KM Chart Season Best Summer” awards and opened fan voting across seven categories, which will run through July 14.

 

The awards recognize the most popular artists and songs from Q2 (April to June 2025), with categories spanning Best Song, Best Artist, Best Team, Best Solo, and more. Notable contenders include G-Dragon, BOYNEXTDOOR, SEVENTEEN, Young Tak, TXT, and ENHYPEN.

 

In the “Best K-Music” (song) category, 24 nominees were selected, including BOYNEXTDOOR’s “One and Only I LOVE U,” SEVENTEEN’s “Thunder,” Young Tak’s “Super Super,” WOODZ’s “Drowning,” BTS Jin’s “Don’t Say You Love Me,” TXT’s “Love Language,” and PLAVE’s “Dash.”

 

The “Best K-Music Artist” category features 17 nominees, including SEVENTEEN, ENHYPEN, Young Tak, Lim Young-woong, and BTS’s J-Hope.

 

In the “Best Hot Choice” popularity category, 17 male artists or groups such as Kang Daniel, MONSTA X, n.SSign, Lee Chan-won, and Jang Min-ho are competing. On the female side, Dreamcatcher, Solar (MAMAMOO), SECRET NUMBER, X:in, ITZY, Tzuyu (TWICE), and Hwasa (MAMAMOO) are among the 17 nominees.

 

The “Best Rookie” category features eight male acts including NEXZ, RIIZE, BIG OCEAN, and Close Your Eyes, and eight female rookies including BABYMONSTER, ILLIT, UNIS, and Hearts2Hearts.

 

In the “Best Solo” category, 14 artists were nominated, including Kang Daniel, Kwon Eun-bi, Kim Jae-joong, Daesung (BIGBANG), Doyoung (NCT), Mark (NCT), and Yook Sung-jae.

 

Voting for the “2025 Season Best Summer” runs through the apps MyOnePick and IdolChamp, with each contributing 50% to the final tally.

 

Meanwhile, KM Chart is also hosting a CD giveaway event for fans who participate in voting, with details available on the chart’s official X (formerly Twitter) and other social media platforms.
