Squid Game parade set for Gwanghwamun; Lee Jung-jae and Lee Byung-hun to attend

Netflix is bringing Squid Game to the heart of Seoul with a major event celebrating the launch of its third season.

 

According to Netflix on June 23, a Squid Game parade and fan event will be held on June 28 at Sejong-daero in Gwanghwamun and Seoul Plaza. The event is co-hosted by the Seoul Metropolitan Government.

 

The parade kicks off at 7:30 p.m. in Gwanghwamun, featuring iconic characters such as Young-hee and the masked guards. It will continue for about an hour as it moves toward Seoul Plaza.

 

At 8:30 p.m., a Squid Game finale fan event will take place at Seoul Plaza. Cast members including Lee Jung-jae, Lee Byung-hun, Im Si-wan, Kang Ha-neul, and Wi Ha-jun are expected to attend, along with director Hwang Dong-hyuk.

 

The event is open to the public and will also be livestreamed via Netflix Korea’s official YouTube channel.

 

Season 3 of Squid Game follows Gi-hun as he re-enters the deadly contest with a personal mission, only to lose his closest friend. The story also delves into the secrets of the Front Man and the final fate of those who survived the brutal game.

 

Squid Game Season 3 will be released globally on June 27.
