BTS member J-Hope marked his return to the music scene—and his first music show appearance since completing military service—with a heartfelt gesture for fans.

On June 17, photos began circulating on social media from the pre-recording set of Mnet’s M Countdown, showing a special “reverse fan gift” J-Hope had prepared. The term refers to gifts from stars to fans as a token of appreciation. For this event, J-Hope offered a full-service coffee truck along with iced tea, cookies, bagels, perfume lip balm, and exclusive photocards, all dedicated to the BTS fandom, ARMY.

In an even grander move, J-Hope’s team rented an entire studio near the filming site in Paju, ensuring fans had a comfortable, air-conditioned waiting area amid the summer heat.

One of the most touching details was a handwritten letter from J-Hope. It read:
“It’s been such a long time since a music show, hasn’t it? I’ve prepared this with the hope of showing you the best stage possible. I hope this message gives you strength as you wait. Let’s have fun today. I love you, ARMY.”

Fans were quick to share their excitement online, leaving comments like: “He makes being a fan so worth it,” “First time waiting indoors for a pre-recording—amazing,” and “Never experienced something like this from an idol before. J-Hope is the best.”

J-Hope is set to kick off his promotional schedule with M Countdown on June 19, followed by Music Bank (June 20), Show! Music Core (June 21), and Inkigayo (June 22), where he’ll perform his new track “Killin’ It Girl.” This marks his first domestic music show appearance in two years, following his 2023 appearance on The Seasons: Jay Park’s Drive.

He previously debuted the stage for Killin’ It Girl during his solo concert in Goyang on June 13.
