Actress Go Min-si is facing school bullying allegations that surfaced on an online community on May 26, prompting a swift denial from her agency, Mystic Story, which called the claims “completely false.”
The post, titled “We are victims of school bullying by celebrity Go ○○”, was shared by individuals claiming to be former classmates from a middle school in Daejeon. They identified the actress by her birth name, Go Hye-ji, stating that she was born early in 1995 and attended school with them.
According to the accusers, Go was involved in “bullying, extortion, verbal abuse, mocking and threatening students with disabilities, and habitual theft,” claiming that her behavior reflected serious ethical issues during her school years. They added, “Go continues her entertainment career without remorse, portraying her past as a ‘simple mistake.’ We are not seeking an apology or compensation—we only want her to permanently withdraw from the industry to prevent further harm.”
The post also urged others with similar experiences to come forward anonymously.
Mystic Story responded within four hours of the post’s publication, issuing a statement: “The claims are completely unfounded and false. We express deep concern and regret over the damage caused to our artist’s reputation by these malicious anonymous posts.” The agency confirmed that it has initiated both civil and criminal legal proceedings against the allegations.
This is not the first time Go Min-si has faced controversy. In 2021, she was criticized after photos of her drinking as a minor surfaced online. At the time, she admitted her wrongdoing and issued a handwritten apology.
Go Min-si is currently starring in Genie TV’s original drama Tastefully Yours.
