It's been revealed that Teen Top's agency TOP Media filed a lawsuit against netizens for spreading rumors and is considering an out-of-court arrangements with some of the netizens.
On November 26, Teen Top's agency rep said, "We filed a lawsuit against four netizens who spread false accusations claiming that the group stockpiled their own albums in September."
The rep said, "Last September, there were accusations circulating on specific entertainment-related boards, communities, and social networking sites with the aim to slander the company and the company's artists. In response, we filed a complaint to Gangman Police Station in early October against those who spread these accusations. The police received a warrant in early November and started to investigate the perpetuators."
"We are currently considering an out-of-court arrangements with some of the netizens who admits their action of defamation of Teen Top and the company's reputation and submit a letter of handwritten apology letter reflecting on their actions," the rep added.
TOP Media rep said, "We will continue to take legal actions against those currently under investigation and those who spread false rumors. We will continue to take serious legal actions in order to prevent any more cases of false accusations and defamation."
