Kwak Jin-eon becomes final winner of Superstar K6

Kwak Jin-eon was the final winner of Superstar K6, beating his rival and friend Kim Feel.


On November 21, the final episode of Mnet's Superstar K6 aired from Kyung Hee University's Hall of Peace. The Top 2 contestants Kim Feel and Kwak Jin-eon competed for the finals, where they had to pick and perform any song of their choice.


Kwak Jin-eon chose Cho Yong-pil's 'Short Hair'. He demonstrated a bright and cheerful mood by playing his guitar. He got 95 points from judge Baek Ji-young, 93 from Lee Seung-chul, 83 from Kim Bum-soo, and 95 from Yoon Jong-shin, receiving 366 points in total. His score was 10 points less than Kim Feel's, who sang Michael Jackson's 'Man In the Mirror'.


However, in the Round 2 of the finals, Kwak Jin-eon received 394 points from the judges with his own song called "Boast", beating Kim Feel by 13 points.


In addition, Kwak Jin-eon scored 397 points from netizens and viewers while Kim Feel earned 393 points. As a result, Kwak Jin-eon was crowned the champion of the show, earning 782 points in total.


Kwak Jin-eon said, "Thank you so much. I'll work hard to be a better performer. I'm thankful to Top 11 who worked so hard."


He added, "My younger brother Seung-eon came to see me. Let's work hard."


Meanwhile, the final winner of Superstar K6 wins 500 million won in prize money, a chance to release a luxurious album, and a chance to perform at a special stage at '2014 MAMA'.
