EXO Suho‘s father requests investigation on netizens spreading pro-Japanese rumors

On November 12, Kim Yong-ha, a professor at the Soonchunhyang University and EXO member Suho's father, requested an investigation to the Cyber Crimes Unit on the netizens who posted things that allegedly connected him to the New Right movement and Chinilpa (Koreans who collaborated with the Japanese government during the country's reign over South Korea).


Since November 10, rumors that allegedly linked professor Kim to the New Right movement and Chinilpa were posted on some online community boards. Professor Kim requested to the Cyber Crimes Unit for an investigation of defamation, and hired a lawyer. He is planning to issue a complaint to the Seoul Central District Court on November 17.


Professor Kim also said that when his son, who is currently in Japan for EXO's concert tour, heard about the rumors, he called and asked, "Dad, are you a Chinilpa?" He had answered that the rumors were totally groundless."
